~So Much News!~

Time has flown by!

Devin will graduate from FGCU in Dec 2008, get married in Feb 2009 and then in the fall both he and Kristie will go on to Law school! They are both also working full time with separate law offices. The wedding is going to be BEAUTIFUL at Sanibel. And then they will be off to a European honeymoon cruise!

Shane is living on the east coast FL now and he has met an amazing girl whom he loves. They are both in the yachting industry (he travels and Lindsay works in an office). They are pregnant and our very 1st grandbaby will be born sometime mid-Dec!!!!

Britt has turned 18 and will be moving out soon. She is going to start school in Sept to be an esthetician(sp?) and also learn about theatrical make up.

Kallee is 8 now and still going on 25! She is into Angels and animals (btw we rescued 3 baby bunnies and they are thriving) and she LOVES to read and write stories and songs.

Dallas is 7 and is an awesome reader!!! They say at a 9 y/o level! He has had a rough yr tho. Admitted to the hosp in Jan for pneumonia and then diagnosed with asthma. He was back admitted in April for a bad asthma attack but we have it under control now. Nebulizer 3 times daily. The hosp staff is wonderful and God forbid we have to be admitted, thats the only hosp I will take him to. He was also diagnosed with PDD- NOS on the autism spectrum at the end of March. I expected to fall somewhere in there and am diggin to see what help I can get him. Altho I still feel unschooling is the best way to learn, I have had no choice but to put the 2 youngest in a public school in Jan. They settled in nicely and like their new friends. I try to keep the stress over the "homework" and "tests" to a minimum by putting it in this perspective... I tell them to try their best and then let it go When they are 20, it wont matter if they got some wrong on a spelling test etc. Life will go on either way. I hope they can be back at home by 6th grade at the latest unless they are totally against it. Guess we'll see....

We will be moving in to a new condo in 2 weeks. Me and the 2 youngest. Britt will stay with us for a month. I can't WAIT!!!!

~Finally! Back on the NET! YAY!~

Alot of catching up to do...I've missed all my blogland friends and from what I can see there are CRAZY things going on in their lives as well!

We are back in our house which has a brand new roof (which is really good b/c it is now officially hurricane season and a tropical depression is already sending rain our way) BUT the inside of the house is far from finished. UGH> I would loooove to have a normal life. What *IS* normal anyway? Let me know if y'all figure it out k?

The QUICK UPDATE on the kids:

Devin turned 21 in April. I can't believe our 1st born is 21!!! He's working at the same place and has decided to change his major from aerospace engineering to LAW! What a change huh? As long as he loves what he does, I'm happy. And he does love to argue! Same girlfriend and she is great! We love her!

Shane turned 20 in April also. 2nd kid out of teens...so hard to believe! I am so proud of them both! They are such good kind(for the most part) hard working honorable young men! How did I get so fortunate? He's still working and hopefully will be back in school in the fall. He too still has the same girlfriend and we love her to pieces as well!

Britt turned the BIG 16 in May! Hard to belive that she is 16 and yet I find myself looking at her as if she is so much older than that. She is so wise and good and dependable and I could not live w/out her! She amazes me in so many ways! She hasn't been able to practice driving enuff to get her license yet but that should change in the next month or so. She's had her permit for a yr now which is how FL works so she can get it any time now once she passes the test.

Kallee Faith is typical Kallee. She is reading just about anything she can find. Learning to add and subtract simple stuff. She has also started to write down her own songs...go figure. I have no idea where this child came from LOL! She is wise beyond her yrs!!!!

Dallas is as always Mama's Sweet Boy! He's growing like a weed too! I buzzed all his hair off the day after we went to Busch Gardens (Yes, I'm aware I should've done it the day BEFORE!) but the there at the park made it very clear his hair was way too hot! He fought me the whole time while I buzzed it, but now he falls asleep rubbing his fuzzy little head LOL!

We are all hanging in there. Its a difficult ride to say the least right now. Some days are good, some are bad. But we have each other, and one thing I can tell y'all is that I have a brand new appreciation for the simplest things in life.

Hope all of y'all are having a great weekend!

~Busch Gardens for Mothers Day (Sat)~

The kids took me to Busch Gardens for Mothers' Day this year. I used my digi to take a pic of the key chain they had made that day. That's why I have a flash on my boob LOL! I am not the great photog. And can't figure out how to photoshop it.

~Ha! I figured out the Code!~

I've been so jealous of everyone that always just says the name of a link or the friend's name like
  • Suz and I never knew how it worked. Well I finally got it! And I ought to be asleep... especially since we just lost an hour a few minutes ago. My least fav day of the year b/c anyone who knows me knows I love to sleep LOL!

  • We should be going back our house to finish it any time now. In some ways I can't wait, I dread it. Not the work, but so many other reasons. Including no internet or cable. I've been getting caught up in:

  • Hogan knows Best
  • Surreal Life
  • Real Housewives of Ocean County
  • and Britt and I have started watching 8th and Ocean since it is what she's interested in. The kids will go crazy w/out nickelodeon but we've done it before andwe can do it again. Its not the end of the world and there plenty of other things to do.

  • Kallee's been doing really well w/spelling everything and has started writing some simple stories. Dallas is starting to get interested in spelling a word here and there but not on a regular basis. He is doing better playing v smile and he has been enjoying playing basketball on the ps2 w/Shane.

  • I need to get some sleep. I really miss my friends in blogworld and I'm sorry I have been mia and inattentive. Things here are totally crazy and messy and anyone who wants to send prayers and good thoughts for our family would be so greatly appreciated. I know things will be getting better but I am so not patient.....

    ~Visit From Grandparents~

    Grampy and Kallee Faith

Yesterday my mom and dad came down for a day visit. All in all it was a nice day.

BUT Kallee was feeling sicker as the day went on. By nite she had a 101.7 fever, belly ache and sore throat. The fever still comes and goes today and boy is she grouchy!!!

    ~When We Dog-sat Aries...~

Right before we came to stay w/the boys, we had to keep Aries the monster dog for a week for them. I finally got these downloaded even tho they are from a month ago.

Dallas is trying to get a snack...unfortunately so is Aries. Our refridgerator is where the kids practice spelling. We need to go back to the $ store and get more letters.

Aries listens while Britt, Kallee and Dallas read.

Britt and Kallee read a book.

    Aries wants to read too!

    ~Our Sons' New Puppy~

We used to import and breed rottweilers from Holland and Germany yrs ago. We had a decent size kennel in PA 16 yrs ago. Our older kids grew up around rotts, german shepherds and malinois. My husband was a certified police canine handler and trainer. We haven't had another big dog since our last passed on in 1-2004. Someone was giving this "pup" away locally (he is not an import) and my husband decided to give it to our sons since they have their own home. (yeah, the one we're staying in right now)
They named him Aries (Warrior God) also both Devin and Shane are aries themselves. So they are co-daddys ROFL!!! This one is exhausting but does the funniest things. gotta say, he does brighten my day unless he's chewing something I own....

    ~Still here...~

At least we are getting in some schedule....stay out of the way til everyone else leaves for work. That can go to til 2:30 p.m. These stairs are a killer on my legs. My fibromyalgia is getting to me. I want to be in my home. a home w/my stuff, my rules, my schedule or non-schedule. mine mine mine. And especially my husband. God I miss my husband.

News on the house: The roof is almost done. The ceilings are worse than expected. 90% are ruined. Mold is in there. So every ceiling in the main house and the guest need replaced as well as 16" (i think) down the walls. Next would bethe mold control and then sand and finish the floors. And THEN we can come back and put the thing up for sale!

Would any of you like to buy it? Cape Coral FL. On the water, pool spa 3/2 new kitchen w/grill right in the 40' counter top. Black appliances. Attached but entrances are separate is a guest/in laws quarters. 2/1. Both have access to the screened in pool and spa. Also a dock and access to the gulf of Mexico. Please buy it. Is a really good house. I just want to move on with my family.....

    ~Is this a frat house?!~

Ok Here's the short version: rental house didn't work out, home we own is in middle of new roof being put on, new ceilings next and then the new floors.

Nowhere to go but our sons' townhouse. They have a roomate too. Three younge men...21, 20, 19. Some days are fine, other I feel very very old and very very grouchy. One of our boys has given up his master br for me, britt kal and dallas. Oh and our 2 little dogs and the cat. Our boys also have a dog and so does to rrom mate. There is not one second of the freakin day when someone's dog isnot barking. Including my own.

I aslo findit very ironic that they refuse to turn on the central air. Now I know this is Feb. But we live in sw florida. Its in the 80's here. now. My boys had no prob leaving lights on, ac down to 60, use the clothes dryer instead of an iron etc when they lived at home...ooooh! I get it! Now they have to pay the elec bill!!! Ha!

Every one's alive. I'm stressed. Hope to stay on top on this for a while. Hello to all my old friends....I've missed y'all and hope y'll visit soon...
