~Yesterday was Evaluation Day!~

We always stress over this day. Of course we never feel ready...and we are famous for procrastinating the paperwork. "Proof" of learning and progressing drive me crazy! But the state says we have to have some kind of yearly evaluation, so we opt for the licensed Florida teacher to check the portfolio etc. The truth is, once we start getting out all the samples of a years worth of stuff and print out the daily log, we find there is a *ton* of information we've all learned. It's a great feeling to hear someone neutral to our lives say 'Wow! You accomplish alot!' (When I use the word *you* I don't mean me, I mean Britt.) I know she's learning new things every day because I see her and I talk to her. We discuss news around the world, we talk about issues, we cook, clean, plan, shop and just hang out together. I see her growing and becoming more mature and turning into this awesome young compassionate woman. I hate to admit she's growing up in a way, but I love spending time with her. I truly enjoy the person she is and I am so proud of her!

~Boy is it hard to live w/out the 'net!~

In the past few weeks, Britt has worked on pre-algebra work sheets, read another book, done 3 book reports, finished the late Pope's paper, and started the tsunami paper. The kids swam in the pool, went to the park, watered the plants, fed the fish, and taken care of cleaning and feeding the turtle, cats and dogs. what else? i know there's a ton more.

Today Britt's worked on her music paper on Alicia Keys...that girl is talented! Britt's been catching up on emails including Simone in Germany.

Uncle Terry had 2 strokes this weekend. He's in the hospital in Pt St Lucie still. We've been talking about what that means and what can happen. He'll talk to the surgeon tomorrow about the results to a bunch of test. He is very 'disgusted' my mom says b/c he can't talk well at all and is hard to understand. He is a tough, hardworking man's man. He has no time or patience for this. He can't see out of part of one eye either :(

I'll remember more tomorrow.
