~I'm TAGGED too!~

This is the 23rd post. no words really, but my lovely family on Fathers Day!

http://mamasunschoolingblog.blogspot.com/2005/08/fathers-day-2005.html

I went to the closest post before and it was the sentence "I love pictures!" 8-29-05

So I went to the post after the picture post and it was "I am not a morning person to begin with." 8-31-05

So there you have it. Turns out to be 2 things that define me...

Certainly not as exciting as KIKI's!!! LOL!

And so, if you are reading this and you haven't been tagged yet, YOU are now! (SUZ too) Here's the rules:

1. Go into your archive.
2. Find your 23rd post.
3. Find the fifth sentence (or closest to).
4. Post the text of the sentence in your blog along with these instructions.
5. Tag five other people to do the same.

Ready, set, GO! And let me know so I can see too...

~The Chicken Conversation....~

Dallas and I are sitting at the diningroom table eating dinner tonite. Baked chicken in the bsalmic vinigrette sauce. Kal had already finished but Dallas is very slow. And very picky. All of a sudden he looks at me and pokes his fork of chicken in the air and says "Is this real chicken chicken?" And I without thinking say yes. (Let it be noted if Britt had been here, this would not have taken place, she would've saved me) So he runs into the other room and I hear him say to Kal "Hey this is real chicken chicken. A REAL chicken" so she comes in the diningroom looking freaked out and says "are you kidding me?!"So then Dallas points to his fork again and says to me...

"So is this the head or the butt?"

Oh. My. God. I am so not hungry anymore. Hope all of y'all are having a good nite....~mama

~Question about Modeling...~

Do any of you know how to find out if a person is modeling material? Britt has been interested. Since she's homeschooled, schedules aren't a problem. My question is, who do you go to to find out if she has a face/body for"it"? And how do you find "who" you should trust? (I know Kallee would like it too...she is a ham but Ifigure she's got plenty of time if she is interested/wanted)

Any help or advice would be appreciated. Honesty plz! Thanks!~mama

~Computer Crashed~

Let me start by reminding all of y'all how very much I love my daughter, Britt. I could not live w/out her. BUT she crashed my freakin desktop last nite! I lost everything. Every email, every picture(remember how I said I have been scanning my little heart out?) every email addy. Did I back anything up? No. Because that would mean I didn't lose anything. I did not listen to 'my gut' in the last week while I was scanning and there fore about 5-600 pics are gone. So. I will be scanning and scanning and backing up. So anyone who wants me to have your email addy, here's mine and let me know. emmemace@swfla.rr.com

hugs!~mama btw, I could use some hugs myself....

~Our Fish Get a New Friend~

Shane(Boy#2) stopped by today and took Britt with him to the fish store to buy a "sucker" fish. I have no idea what they're called but they suck the yuck off the aquarium. See, we started out with 2 Fish a yr ago. One for Kallee and one for Dallas. Well, Kallee's killed Dallas' and then Kallee's died. (And I thought fish were supposed to calm kids down?) So, a few months ago, when this happened, I run to the fish store 5 min before closing and tell the guy to give me some cheap sturdy fish cuz my kids are bawling. The very nice man gives me a black one, a white one and an orange one. (The third was a just-in-case-one-dies fish). So they get the names: Patrick(black), Sandy(white) and SpongeBob(orange). Let me just tell you right now...Sandy is a sl@t fish! She has had 3 bunches/litters/packs what ever you wanna call em of fish and I have like no kidding 40 freakin fish now. SO we are on the look out for 2 cheap or free tanks to split up the 3 big fish and of course all the other fish. I think I know what I should give out for Halloween this yr! ;) So now we have this new fish and yes, they named him Sucky. Not bad-sucky but one-who-sucks. Ugh.

~This is Kiwi~

I couldn't find any batteries for the digi but this pic at least has palms in it, Accumama! Kiwi looks so much bigger and fatter in this pic than he is. He is just a puff ball and weighs about 6 lbs.

The storm has passed us for the most part. I really feel for who ever it goes to now, b/c it sure missed us and has the warm water to get stronger in the gulf. Britt and I were reading tonite on the internet about the storm names and that the Atlantic names revolve over 6 yrs and then start over again. But if its a really bad and devastating storm, the name is retired. There are only 4 names left in the 2005 list (Stan, Tammy, Vince and Wilma) to make a total of 21 names. Theu don't use Q,U,X,Y,Z b/c there aren't allot of names...so they say. After that if there are more storms this year, they start on the Greek alphabet. First is Alpha. Your weather lesson is over! thankyou-very-much!

We're watching the finale of Big Brother and next is RockStar INXS!! g'nite all!

of our 3 oldest. All you Mamas out there have this one pegged I bet! All you siblings too. Here's the story behind the picture...Boy #2 punched Boy#1 in the eye to get the middle spot and Girl has a boogie on her finger... Everybody say CHEESE! (they're gonna kill me for keeping this one)

~A Windy Day~

As Hurricane Rita goes below us, we're getting some wind. 20mph gusts. They say it should rain in the next half hr from the bands but won't be allot. The county below us has closed schools, but I think everything is normal here. We seem to be in the spot that most storms just graze us or totally go around us. Well, except Charley of course. But even then, we did end up 30 miles away from the eye.

The palms are blowing now but I have to find batteries for the digi. Maybe I can post one for accumama...

Oh and btw! Today is Suz's Birthday, so I have to wish her an awesome day! I hope her ankle is healing too...

Dallas and Kallee have made a bus out of little kid chairs and are taking turns driving it to the 'beach'.

I'll be back a little later....

~Homemade Play-doh~

Today I taught Kallee and Dallas to make homemade play-doh.

1 c flour
1 c salt
1/2 c water
1-3 tsp oil (start w/1 see if it needs more)
And if you really want adventure, add food coloring!

We store it in a ziploc baggie.

They had fun making it themselves, I measured, they poured and stirred. We also made sugar cookie dough but I ran out of butter so I have the mix in the fridge but not sure what to do w/it?

Been watching the tropics. Some action in the water. Rita coming between Cuba and us. The Keys are evacuating. We(the Cape) are at the far right side of the 'cone' so unless she turns drastic east, we should be fine! We've been watching the wind pick up today. Not a big deal, its just that the palms don't usually move. It was sunny all day. They say 60% chance of rain tomorrow. So maybe we'll get some of the bands. No big deal!

I've been pulling out a ton of pics to scan. I'm really getting into the kids' book. Its on the right side here if y'all want to watch the progress. This one is of my bestfriend Ren. It was taken at her wedding in Scotland. They got married in a castle.

~Washin' the Animals Day~

Everyone let me sleep(til 1pm) in which was good b/c its been a painful week and today is the worst so far for me.

The kids have decided it's give-the-animals-a-bath day so here's who's clean so far: Harley(Britt's Yorkie) was first. He's easy but hates the blowdryer. Kiwi(my maltese) was next. He hates the bath part and loves the dryer! They forgot tho how loooooong he takes to dry LOL! He looks like one big puff ball. Simba(cat) just finished. I have been informed that she was well behaved in the tub but while being towel dried and brushed, she bit Britt. She has now gone into hiding and will soon be joined by her brother Tigger(who is in the tub now).

I've been thinking over an idea I had about a sort of book. Its not a book book but more a snapshot and commentary about my kids. Something for them to keep and hold on to memories that they might have forgotten as well as pictures too. I think I'll start working on it in blog form because I can come and go and if my pc crashes etc, I won't lose everything. Not matter how I back up, I end up losing something really important. For some reason, I felt the need to come up with a title before I could actually start it. I wanted some kind of symbolism for the whole family that could be tied back to the beginning. Sweet Child Of Mine. To the beginning of my marriage. Our kids grew up with GnR in the background in the 80's and early 90's. I know it will make our kids smile. The last 2 don't really know it, but Kallee loves music and Dallas, well, he just does his own thing LOL! So, now I have it. Guess I'll start scanning more pics and jotting down as I think of stuff and I think put it in order as yrs. I was thinking about by each kid, but, some many of the memories/pics are shared by 2 or more...

Any ideas are welcome. y'all!

The Emmy's are on tonite. I think its the emmys. I like to see the clothes. Fashion fashion. I miss taking Britt shopping. It's been a long time :(

Oh Lord...Dallas just came up to me and his eyebrows were all scrunched up and he is obviously mad. When asked what was wrong he answered "Brittany just scared a crap outta me!" oh my. Guess I better go....

~Low Key Friday...~

We all slept in today.

Britt finished painting the last wall in the Jungle room. She also touched up the ceiling.

Kallee learned how to do word finds. She doesn't know most of the words, but she can find them all! She had a tea party at the diningroom table with all the big stuffed animals.

Dallas watched Napolean(the dog movie), played Leapster(Spiderman) and made spag and meatballs out of plaay doh. He has learned to roll it well into balls and long strings which is an accomplishment for him. A few days back he made a picture of Daddy. This is the 1st one that looked like a head and eyes, nose and mouth!

Britt and I watched Meet the Parents tonite and now we're finishing Meet the Fockers. Its been a nice evening. Kallee had a little easier time going to sleep tonite. Dallas was asleep in less than 10 min!

We're still scanning pics...

~Prom and Graduation...~

A few days ago, my new friend Haley challenged us to find our prom and grad pics. Today Britt and I got the HUGE picture box (really one of those tall plastic bins w/lid) out to go thru. Since we live in sw FL, its a good idea to keep anything precious to you in tupperware-ish things, b/c you never know when a hurricanes coming and you can grab the important stuff in one shot and head out. Thus we have a picture box.

Once again, when I start something that has to do w/pictures and memories, I tend to get lost in them and spend hours going thru it. Today was that kind of a day. Britt, KalleeFaith and I sat on the floor while Dallas wandered between us and toys. We just put everything away around 8pm. We came across so many awesome pictures and remember when....

So here's some: 1st yr in Ballet

~Shane Bought His Bike...~

This is from a cell phone camera so it's not good but the digi is out of batteries...He does have a smile on his face! Seems like he's done his 'homework' well. He took a motorcycle class a few months back, went to his bank and got the loan worked out ahead of time, found the bike, got his own insurance policy and bought the bike. He bought his helmet ahead of time too and a mesh jacket w/padding on the back and shoulders and arms etc. I guess I have to let God watch him. He can do a much better job than me!

He visited for a little and helped the kids do puzzles. He was looking in the garage for a backpack of his from a long time ago. I have no idea where they are now...Kallee offered a Winnie the Pooh one but he said he didn't think that would be good idea to take on the bike LOL!

Britt and I drained some of the Koi pond today, scrubbed the sides and filled it back up. I cleaned the bird bath and pulled weeds in the pond garden. The kids watered the flower beds. The kids came inside and started building w/legos. They only stopped to eat and are back playing still. Britt's been working on her paper on Gaza.

Big Brother's on at 10...I thought RockStar INXS was too? I missed Gene Simmons School of Rock last nite, but they'll have re-runs off and on all week. Early nite tonite? maybe....

~OK So Here's My 100...~

Before I start tho, I need to ask a question about blog commenting ettiquette. When someone comments on your blog, are you supposed to aswer them on yours or theirs? B/c how do you know they'll check back on yours for an answer? I mean I do...but does everyone?

OK lets get this started...

1. I was born a yankee(PA)

2. I moved to FL at 24.

3. I am an only child...spoiled as the day is long!

4. I say "y'all" all the time. "all y'all" too, and if I'm really mad I'll say "I'm fixin' to___"

5. I love having 5 kids. Dec2002

6. I am so proud of all of them (even if they all make me crazy at some point)

7.When I go somewhere w/our oldest, they think we're bro/sis.

8. When I go somewhere w/son#2, they think we are married...(he hates that and makes sure he calls me mama very loudly several times)

9. I could not possibly survive w/out our 1st daughter! I love to hangout w/her and talk. She is the absolute BEST!

10. Our 2nd daughter is the biggest drama queen that ever walked the face of the earth! She is secretly at least 25...(she's 5)...and can belt out any pop song.

11. I call our youngest son 'mama's sweet boy' b/c he is so sweet you could just eat him up!

12. I love my husband and he does love me but we live in separate houses. Its complicated. I miss him...

13. We have been together for about 20 yrs.

14. I had surgery on my kidney/bladder area when I was 5 or 6.

15. I am a gemini thru and thru.

16. I had a german shepherd named Athena that my husband gave me for my 27th bday.

17. We had a kennel that bred them and also sold young adult k9s to police and the private sector.

18. I had her all of her life until she died 1-5-04. She was 13, I think. I miss her so bad. She followed me everywhere. She was fully trained and could do some damage!

19. I have a maltese named Kiwi now. I feel guilty b/c I know I don't love him like I do Athena...

20. I am a Christian but I haven't found a church to go to since we moved to this town 8 yrs ago...

21. Despite #20, I have a very big potty mouth. I try to stop....they just fly out.

22. My very bestfriend lives about 2000 miles away in CO. We are so totally opposite, but our hearts and souls are the same.

23. I love Pepsi. Coke is just plain yucky! I wish I liked diet anything, but I just can't do it.

24. We do drink allot of water tho since we have a watercooler. The kids like water...and gatorade.

25. I love love love seafood!

26. and asparagus, brussel sprouts, spinach, squash, zucchini.

27. and of course Starbucks! I even have corrupted Britt(15) and she is addicted too. But there are none near here so we usually only get one when we go to the airport to p-up someone or fly out. :(

28. Cannot live w/out chocolate! M&Ms, Hershey kisses, Hershey bars, plain good ole chocolate!

29. Tostitos too for crunchy-salty. plain. or in bean dip. No salsa.

30. I used to like red meat, but the older I get, I just can't eat it. Meatballs sometimes...sloppy joes sometimes, but thats about it.

31. And the thing w/ chicken/turkey is there can be no bones...it's actually not a concious activist thing...it makes me physically ill to eat meat off of bones.

32. I'm trying to think about what I'm gonna do about this T-giving...I love turkey. Its been bugging me for yrs. Someone else is gonna have to make it and carve it and THEN I can eat it! Hey! This gets me out of cooking the main dish too! ;)

33. My drink of choice used to be Jack and Coke. That was back in the caveman days LOL!

34. I never liked beer. Or mtn dew.

35. I still like Rumrunners, bahama mamas, stuff like that occasionally. But my meds can't mix w/it so I have to plan it well and know that I'm gonna suffer one way or another.

36. Pinot Grigio is yummy too.

37. I love flowers...bird of paraidise which I am fortunate to have in my yard and down by the dock. any kind of lilies, tulips, lilacs.

38. NOT carnations. They remind me of funerals and I have told my kids that no one better send them to my memorial service if there is one b/c I *will* haunt that person!

39. We have lived on the water for yrs. There are tons of canals here on the Cape. They say as many as in Venice Italy! I've never counted so who knows...

40. I like to watch the boats go by my house every day.

41. I love Burt's Bees products...Britt and I keep 2 beeswax lipbalms at all times(one in our purses and 1 in our bathrooms.

42. My fav. face/body scrub is Oatmeal and Honey by earth essentials(I think). I'm out tho b/c Publix used to sell it and now they don't so I'm gonna have to buy it online and I'm lazy.

43. Body by Victoria is my fav perfume, body gel and body lotion.

44. But I love Vanilla Brown Sugar Body Butter too!

45. I love the beach! Sounds of the ocean, seagulls, feel of sand, smell of salt air and coconut sunscreen, the blue-green color of the ocean.

46. For several yrs in a row we spent summers in a house right on the beach. It was the next best place to heaven. I wouldn't care if I never left that property again in my life...

47. Those were the best family yrs ever.

48. I also love to see the leaves change. Reds, orange-yellow. We spent 6 mo up north recently during fall and winter. Our house was the best! Brick 2 story, firplace, PLAYROOM off of the den!

49. I love a fireplace and the smell of wood burning. We always had one burning in that house.

50. I am amazed by our oldest sons Devin and Shane. I can't believe they are 20 and 19. They were 3 and 4 just yesterday...they are men now. They are responsible, bill paying, job-holding, college-going, apartment-sharing men. Way taller than me. They *shave*. (God they're gonna kill me for that)(and yes they've been shaving for yrs...you know what I mean, all you mamas). They have girlfriends...sometimes LOL! OMG!!! what if they get married soon or have babies!?! I just thought of that omg omg.

BTW, I started this list @ 1:30 and its now ummm 6:45? And yes I have been up and away from here but still this is HARD! SO I'm gonna talk about my kids too.

51. Devin's major is aerospace engineering. He's 20. And tall, I mean, I look up and I'm 5'8.5". He loves anything Irish. He has a 4 leaf clover right below his neck and it has Ireland's colors. He started rock clibing in CO and went to the Uof CO for a yr. He rode a bullout there too! He is silly and intelligent and has a great sense of humor and is sarcastic (like me). He loves hard and also holds a grudge(again like me).

52. Shane's major is international business. He's 19. Tall too. about 6'. Loves boats and flying. His tatoo is on his arm from top to elbow and has the buddist(altho he's christian) mantra about doing unto others etc. He stopped public school in 11th gr to finish his credits at home and start college early. He is independent and smart and take charge and goes head first into love. He is not a grudge-holder.

53. Britt has been homeschooled/unschooled since 6th grade. (4 yrs ago) We call her Baby Rae as a nick name.(middle name is Rae) She is beautiful inside and out. SHe is wise beyond her yrs and most of the time I think she's the mama and I am the teenager. She is interested in modeling and interior design and fashion and shopping and music and traveling. She is "legally blind" but wears contacts and can see 20/30 w/them. She cannot wait to get lasik etc surgery! I will die when she moves out. I want her to have the best life ever, and won't hold her back, I never have, I just enjoy being around her so much.
This is Britt w/my niece Syd.

54. Kallee(cow-lee)(not Kay-lee) is so not from Earth! She is our firecracker of the family and we also call her Baby Faith(Her middle name). She does everything by extremes. The child LOVES music. Can sing the words to any song on the radio but also knows praise and worship. She does harmonies. Sings in harmony. She's 5. She likes keyboards too. You just never know what the child is going to say next!

55. And yes Dallas was named after the Cowboys. Last baby, last boy of our family named after Daddy's team for better or worse. The sweetest boy. He is 4 and likes to be upside down, climb, computer games, leapster, basketball, legos, trucks.

56. I hate to clean but like the smell of bleach. (this doesn't mean I *don't* clean-I just hate to)

57. I clean best when I am mad mad MAD!

58. I was in a dance company when I was a teenager.

59. I danced 7 days a week, went to school for half days and dance studio the rest.

60. I loved every minute of it.

61. I thought I would dance forever.

62. But I chose not to stay in NY.

63. I guess I chickened out.

64. I got married and had my kids. I'm not sorry I did.

65. One show we did on Christmas eve and I was the Angel. My friend was "Mary" and when she went to follow "Joseph" out the door, he brought his staff down and bonked her on the head! I had to stay on stage dancing and not laugh! I thought I would burst!

66. We had weigh ins every day and when our measurements were taken for costumes, if the head thought we needed to lose some weight/inches, he would order the costume to be made in a smaller size so you would have to lose weight or not dance.

67. One yr he did that to me and I lost so much that the costume had to be taken in allot!

68. One yr a close friend's sister was getting married and I was invited to the bachelorette party. I went after dance class and figured I'd go to the party, sleep at my friend's and be back for company practice @ 9am the next morning. OK, see here's the thing...we stopped drinking around 5:30am...it was really really a bad thing for me. I got there around 10:30 and I was so in trouble! I was 17, drunk/hungover/just plain sick and he worked me like a DOG! I was sure I would never survive that day. We danced til 5:30pm. The last thing he said to me that day was "if you want to drink, come to my house and drink. At least you'll be on time"

69. It was a long time before I ever drank again.

70. I am addicted to American Idol (love Bo's voice)

71. And RockStar INXS now....(Marty/Suzie)

72. And the Osbournes

73. Hogan Knows Best...(we would so put that tracker on Britt's car so we would know where she was while on a date!)

74. Britt and I watch Viva La Bam!

75. I love to sing with the radio/tv anything. James Taylor, John Mellencamp(Cougar), Alicia Keyes, GnR(So takes me back to the old days) Savage Garden, Nelly.

76. I do not like Tom Cruise. Never have.

77. I love the color purple and the color of the sea down here.

79. I want to go to Tahiti. I *will* go to Tahiti.

80. I love Italian things: names, homes, countryside, Tuscany, ironwork, marble, columns, the sound of the language.

81. I want to go to Italy too.

82. I love to collect pictures/photos. And look at them.

83. I love Monet's works.

84. I used to play the violin in Jr high.

85. I can't stand to not help someone. I have to be able to "fix" it.

86. I am totally unorganized but I know where everything is.

87. We don't "do school at home", we learn as we live.

88. My kids decide what they want to dig into or work on etc and then they do. I'm here to help them go in that direction and we find stuff out together.

89. Some people think kids will never do another thing if not "made" to. Trust me, this is not true.

90. Shane learned Japanese and Russian on his own in one yr just by going online and also listening to a CD. No one told him to do it. I would've never seen that one coming!

91. I love love love bread. bagels(cinnamon raisen), bread, bread.

92.I need to cut back on bread products.

93. I love gold jewelry. Of course I love diamonds.

94. I got my engagement ring after we were married for about 12 yrs. Really I did.

95. every time I get diamond earrings I lose one. I am not allowed to own "real" ones anymore!

96. Britt and I have the same exact ring on our right hand ring finger. It has a gold sand dollar and 2 diamonds. Kallee will get the same one when she turns 13.

97. I cannot type w/out looking. Sometimes, I'm typing along and look up and not one freakin thing is on the screen!!!

98. I love my iron post bed....and I got it for free!

99. I haven't had the heart to kick Kallee or Dallas out of my bed.

100. Or Tigger-the-cat, or Kiwi my maltese. But there's only 1 missing...

So there you have it. Took me til almost 9pm and Britt even made dinner! SO am I boring or what?

~Motorcycle coming to a Kid near you!~

Low key day today. Britt went over to her brothers' apt last nite and Shane brought her back this afternoon. She loves going over to see them and I think they love having her b/c they know she'll cook for them and clean up the kitchen LOL!

Shane also sort-of-told-me (but knew I didn't want to hear) that he is buying a motorcycle. He was asking for info on our insurance company so he could call and get his own policy. He was approved for a bank loan(without a co-signer) Sounds like he'll have it in the next couple of days. I am not thrilled. I am not happy about it at all. Motorcycles are great and all, its just that I have this huge fear that someone I love will get seriously hurt or worse. And yet, he's a big boy now. He has his own place, job, pays his own bills and goes to school. He knows how I feel, and he's tried to make me not so scared. It just doesn't work when its your kids y'know? His reasoning: Less gas=less $$ My reasoning: Not alive=don't need any $$.

Kallee taught herself math the other day. I don't remember if I mentioned it. She just started writing 1+1 2, 1+1+1 3. All I taught her was to put an = sign in there. Today she and I did the 2's. SHe practiced drawing hearts and coloring them in. She added words to her Word Book. (its a composition book she uses to add words that she never spelled before).

Dallas has begun to play with the abc magnets on the fridge. He strings a bunch of letters in a line and then asks what it spells. I hate to tell him nothing, so Kallee and I look for some word in the letters and then I say 'here move this letter over here and...it spells___"

Earlier, Dallas was playing with GI Joe and was putting him in his jeep. He couldn't get him in and kept shoving until...GI Joe lost his head! Broke right off. And there's never any super glue when you need it. So Dallas asked me how he was supposed to drive? ummm...I'm not thinking he's driving today.

Today Britt moved all the plants back out around the koi pond. I'm planning on working on the pond tomorrow.

I'll come back later....it's waaaay too quiet right now. And we all know thats not good!

~It's Sunday Already?~

And the last time I was in here was Wed? Where did the days go?

I've heard from both of my friends affected by the hurricane. One is @ home and one has gone to stay w/friends about 3 hrs from home. They say no elec for 2 wks or so. She's got 4 kids. I'm glad they have somewhere to stay until...I know when Charlie flew thru here last yr, we had no elec for 10-12 days. I was so thankful that my parents had no problems there(only 2.5 hrs away from us) so 3 of the kids and I stayed there while the boys stayed home to work and help dad.

What day last week did Dallas get his new glasses? ummm...well whatever day it was, he bent them so bad on Friday that they won't even stay on! These were the cheap pair. The nike ones he had before last for 2 yrs and you could twist them almost into a pretzel...seriously. I even ran over them in the car (no not on purpose) and they survived! But they cost $300. I think we may need to think about another pair of them tho...destructo boy is not going easy on the cheapies LOL!

Kallee asked me why God sent the hurricane and ruined all those peoples homes etc. I did my best to explain that sometimes we don't know why God does stuff but He has a reason for doing it and we just have to trust Him on that. She looked@ me and said I don't get it. I don't either, but God is God. And we are hearing about all kinds of amazing stories from this mess, its just that allot of the time you hear more negative than positive on the news.

Britt changed our livingroom around AGAIN.

I can't believe tomorrow is Labor Day. September. I'm getting the itch to see leaves turn beautiful colors...that doesn't happen here. Palm trees are either green or if the fronds are dying, they're brown. The crepe myrtles bloom and then they bloom again. Same with the hybiscus. With the gas getting so high, I doubt we'll travel for a while...I think it was like $70 or so to bring the Navi to 3/4 tank. We need smaller vehicles.

The space bar on my keyboard stopped working today. It took me 4 hrs but I fixed it myself! Eeeew! its dirty under there! But its not now!

I'm tired tonite.....g'nite y'all.... Taken 2 Labor Days ago.
